We are recruiting for a Production Operative to join our client who are an established manufacturing company based near Pewsey on a permanent basis. This is a permanent position for the right candidate.

Duties will include:

• Technical compliance: ensuring that all product is produced to standard; having good product knowledge that is always up to date; adhering to all QA guidelines; ensuring efficient line speeds; ensuring that all equipment is in safe and efficient working order
• Health and Safety: To work safely in accordance with site and departmental procedures, observing the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, the Food Safety Act 1990.
• Ensuring effective communication with the team on shift and being able to update the oncoming shift with an update on all production.
• Practice good housekeeping rules and keep their area clean and tidy and free of debris to avoid slips, trips and falls Skills, Knowledge and Experience
• Experience of working on the line; knowledge of the machinery and manufacturing practice
• Works well as part of a team with other managers on opposite shifts.
• Is flexible, able to change their approach to changing demands and work to tight deadlines This role would suit someone coming from a production / agricultural production background and any forklift/telehandler tickets would also be an advantage

Having your own transport would be essential for this position, due to the company’s rural location.
