    Finance and Purchasing Controller | Immingham | Up to £24,000

    The Situation

    An ambitious and personable Finance and Purchasing Controller is sought to join a well-established, highly reputable company within the rail industry, specialising in the maintenance and repair of freight wagon vehicles.

    In this key role, the successful candidate will oversee financial operations and procurement activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and seamless material acquisition and control. Responsibilities include:

    • Taking the lead in procurement processes, ensuring all materials and items are correctly identified, purchased, and effectively managed.
    • Handling purchase ledgers, receipting invoices, issuing purchase orders, and overseeing internal accounts payable.
    • Meeting financial deadlines while providing essential support to both the Supply Chain Manager and Finance Manager, contributing as a valued member of a close-knit team.
    • Maintaining meticulous documentation to ensure full control and auditability of all movements.
    • Collaborating with suppliers to process invoices promptly and efficiently.

    Salary

    • Up to £24,000, plus additional benefits.

    Working Arrangements

    • On-site, five days a week in Immingham.

    Essential Criteria

    • Highly driven and motivated, with a commitment to continuous learning (Essential).
    • Confident in liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers (Essential).
    • Background in administration (Desirable).
    • Experience and strong understanding of purchase order processes (Desirable).
