The Company

The Civils & Infrastructure Team at Ford & Stanley Recruitment is proud to be working with a rapidly growing rail consultancy with a HQ in Birmingham and several new offices across the UK. This is a business that has built itself a reputation as being a ‘safe pair of hands’, for large-scale railway developments.

They are looking for a Transportation Modelling Consultant to join their Modelling Team. As a Transportation Modeller, you will be collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement innovative strategies that can have a large, measurable impact on large scale railway development schemes, and provide economic benefits to local communities.

Overview of the Role

As projects have been growing and becoming more complex, the company have invested in Podaris, a hybrid transport modelling and GIS tool that allows for detailed interactions with the client. The demand for this tool is growing internally. Due to ongoing success of the Modelling Team, they are hiring a Modeller who will strive to be the internal expert on this specific software and work closely with a wide range of clients whilst using the tools. The role will play a key part in the ongoing growth of the team.

Salary

£30,000 – £40,000 (+) Dependent on experience

Location & Working Model

• Hybrid Working
• HQ in Birmingham

Ideal Candidate & Essential experience

• Experience in Transportation Modelling (Within Rail, Highways or other Transport fields)
• Experience using GIS Mapping tools.
• Consultancy Background
• Experience or good awareness of Podaris
• Desirable – Degree in Transport Modelling or Similar
