Are you an ambitious Technical Support Engineer, looking to lend your practical skills and knowledge and drive continuous improvement?


The Opportunity:

Ford & Stanley Recruitment are working with a renowned manufacturer serving the rail and rolling stock industry, providing parts and products into a safety critical industry.  

The position is supplier focussed and requires attention to detail, an ability to communicate problems with suppliers to achieve a “Win Win” outcome and a dynamic approach to solving engineering problems.

The position is likely to suit someone coming off the tools in a safety critical environment or someone who is already in a technical support position.


Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical engineering support, advice and expertise to design and procurement teams.
  • Assistant in the management of product-based warranty issues.
  • Attend regular supplier facing and technical meetings.
  • Assistant in the design and development of brand new products.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with key stakeholders on an internal and external basis.


  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background
  • Previous experience of offering technical engineering support.
  • UK Driving Licence
  • Strong Interpersonal skills – able to communicate with key internal and external stakeholders to provide solutions.


  • HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience within the rail industry.
