Ford & Stanley – The Rail Recruitment are recruiting a Technical Assurance Professional for a business at the forefront of safe and reliable freight transport.

The Opportunity

Ford & Stanley Recruitment are working with a specialist Freight Haulage company on their search for a Technical Assurance Professional/Standards Manager. Working as part of a small, yet crucial, team will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to work throughout different projects and have a hand in the ongoing successes of the business.

Working closely with every department within the company, the importance of this role lies in engaging everybody to teach them what standards they are beholden to, educating them on how to go about ensuring compliance with the relevant regulations and then assuring these standards are being upheld at regular intervals.

This role would suit a candidate with previous experience working to strict and regulated standards as well as the drive and desire to proactively learn a complex role.

Location (s):

Remote role with UK Travel.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support and provide technical advice on the development & review of technical processes to ensure they meet the appropriate standards,
  • Conducting in-house training sessions on technical awareness
  • Lead or support investigations to develop LFE and actions

The Candidate

Are you a driven self-starter, able to set your own schedule without being micro-managed, and eager to take on new tasks and responsibilities? This role will offer long-term development opportunities, and even assistance with further educational study, to a candidate with the desire to learn and the proactive approach to taking onboard new information.

Previous experience working with strict standards and regulations will be essential in this position, perhaps suiting somebody from a compliance background or ex-military.

Essentials

  • Drive and attitude, work-ethic and desire to learn.
  • Previous experience working to regulated/legislated standards, ensuring compliance.

Desirable

  • Experience with an engineering industry/environment.
