Systems Engineer (Electronics)

The Situation
Ford & Stanley Digital are currently working with CAF Rolling Stock UK, a word-class Railway industry expert that manufacturers, maintains and supplies Rail Vehicles in the UK and internationally. CAF are seeking a well-rounded systems engineer who would take ownership of integrating all electronic systems that interface with the train including PIS, PCS, Seat Reservation Systems, WIFI and CCTV.
The Opportunity
An opportunity to become the systems expert for a major International Rail Manufacturer, we are looking for a Systems Engineer to lead the interface for multiple projects and take full ownership of all technical activities related to integrating electronic systems on board the trains. This role will expose you to a range of diverse, and industry breaking projects, and allow you to work across a range of systems. You will be sharing your expertise across the whole organisation and act as the go to individual for all electronic systems queries. A pivotal role within the organisation, the role offers international training and promising growth opportunities within a world-class Train Manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead depending on experience the Interface between the system supplier and the rest of the team involve in the project: engineering team, quality, testing, approvals, purchasing and project management.
- Manage all technical documentation applicable to the Systems under your responsibility
- Undertake design validation activities related to the Systems under your responsibility, and ensure the design is compliant with the System Specification.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Rolling Stock experience – Proven experience of working with systems
- Strong stakeholder management experience
Location & Working Model
- Predominantly Remote Working
- Travel to Newport c.1-2 times per Month
- International Training & Travel
Salary
- £50,000-£60,000
