Situation

Ford & Stanley are currently partnered with one of the UKs largest Train Operating Companies who are looking to grow their Procurement and Purchasing team and require a Supply Chain Coordinator. Joining a team of 17, the Procurement Team support the whole organisation, and purchase directly and indirectly from HR Systems to Train Parts. With over 1000 live vendors and 350 contracts, they are looking to consolidate their supply chain and carry out spend report reviews. The Supply Chain Coordinator will play a key part in the administration of data from contract databases, spend reports and purchasing systems that allow the company to understand the performance of their supply chain.

Opportunity  

The Supply Chain Coordinator can be your initial step into Supply Chain/Procurement AND/OR Rail. You will be well exposed to a well varied role and be involved with the purchasing process of a wide portfolio of goods and services. You will be a self-starter who is able to learn new systems quickly and deal with large quantities of data and be directly involved with reviewing and promoting ways to improve processes, procedures and systems.

They are looking for a proactive and confident individual who is has an interest in procurement and supply chain. It is a great steppingstone, with a range of growth & development opportunities on offer. Whether you have an interest within the Rail industry, Procurement or Analytical opportunities, this role will act as a brilliant launch pad to your career.

Ideal Candidate

  • Degree Educated in relevant field or has some initial professional experience in a complementary field
  • Willingness to learn and passion to develop you skills
  • Confident – You will be working with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Good knowledge and experience using MS Excel.
