Signalling and Communications Technical Systems Manager

Location: Nottingham

Opportunity

Ford & Stanley are currently partnered with a market-leading light rail network. Due to a recent restructuring in the team, they are looking for a professional to take ownership of all Signalling and Communications equipment, including the management of a £200k budget, a team of technicians and all works/repairs for the equipment in question.

A successful technical manager will seamlessly manage the Assets, Internal/External relationships and technical resources. Building on a depth of technical knowledge across both design and maintenance of signalling/comms equipment, you will effectively allocate technical resources where it is required across planned maintenance and repairs. Our client is an agile business that has ownership of all elements of its network, including the light rail and infrastructure, which allows great ownership of its work and the ability to work more efficiently overall.

Accountabilities

  • Manage an annual budget of c.£200k
  • Responsibility for a team of technical resource and their allocation
  • Manage all maintenance, performance and renewals of all assets in signalling & communications

Essential criteria

  • Signalling maintenance experience (Experience of SCADA systems or CBTC signalling for example)
  • Qualifications achieved within Signalling
  • HNC or HND qualified
