Sales Manager
Location: Remote role, locality to Cambridge, Oxford, or Nottingham desirable.
The Situation
Ford & Stanley is currently partnered with a leading distributer of Lab Equipment, Consumables, and Medical devices. With 25 major clients including SLS and Appleton Woods, they focus on providing a cheaper and more efficient supply of Lab Equipment. After a £2 million turnover year, they are now focused on growing their client portfolio and continuing to create a solution for both customers and suppliers.
Opportunity
Our client is looking for a confident and astute Sales Manager to take ownership of their sales and client management activities across the U.K. Building on your existing network of life science contacts you will play a pivotal role in shaping the business’s growth by providing a cheaper and more varied product availability than your competitors. Having an entrepreneurial mindset will be essential as you work toward achieving £1 million in annual sales, you will have the ability to make real business change in a company that is on a fast and consistent growth trajectory, with a longer-term prospect of becoming a shareholder in the business.
Essential Skills/Attributes
- Previous sales experience within Laboratory equipment/ Consumable product areas
- Willingness to travel nationally
- Degree educated in relevant academic areas or proven technical knowledge gained through experience
