 The Situation

Ford & Stanley are currently partnered with an electronic technology company with a strong presence in UK rail who specialise in the design and build of communication systems. Their roots lie in radio frequency, systems design and software defined communications products. The team is agile, dedicated, and hands-on with a number of gifted professionals working on innovation within the railway industry and wider. With several imminent contract awards, and a continued focus on growth, the team are looking for a methodical and highly capable Project Manager to take the reigns on a range of multi million-pound projects.


 The Project Manager is responsible for leading both internal and external projects. Internal projects are R&D focused, working closely with engineers to set specific milestones and a clear project lifecycle to ensure senior management are aware of progress. Externally, a Project Manager is the interface between Tier 1 contractors and Network rail, ensuring that all key stakeholders are aware of the project progress and any blockers identified/escalated. This role affords and capable project manager great exposure to senior management and the ability to build project management best practices from the ground up. Overall, you will play a pivotal role in the business efficiency, profitability, growth and reputation.

Essential Criteria 

  • Prince 2 or APM qualified
  • Project management experience within Engineering disciplines
  • Extensive experience in a Project Management position
