Product Manager (Plant)
Do you want to drive the future growth of a new business unit within a Market Leader within Rail?
The Situation
Ford & Stanley Digital are currently partnered with the UK’s leading part supplier to the Railway industry, with expertise across Infrastructure, Traction and Rolling Stock. Since 2018, They have looked to broaden their specialisms by developing their competencies on Plant based equipment through various Track Replacement and OLE based projects. To achieve this, the New Product Team look to support 3rd party manufacturers by taking their existing products to the global markets, bring manufacturing of these products in house and develop their own products using 3rd party expertise. With ambitious plans to take the unit’s revenue from £4m to £8m by next year, the Product Manager will play a pivotal role in this growth.
Opportunity
You will be driving the growth of Plant Development on a global scale within one of the biggest players in Rail. Through Research, Strategic and Operational Activities, you will be responsible for bringing Rail Plant propositions to the market in a highly effective and profitable way. You will have a diverse and widespread impact on the team, generating growth through identifying new partners, products and markets and supporting the technical sales process. The Product Manager will be able to put their name to the future Plant Growth, as they look to diversify away from their traditional specialities of Rolling Stock and Signalling.
Skills and Attributes
- Commercial experience within a Product Management, Project Management, Technical Sales or Innovation roles
- Experience within the Rail Industry, or Construction, Infrastructure, Power or other Safety Critical Industry
- Competent Stakeholder Management Attributes
