Situation
Ford & Stanley are currently partnered with one of the UK’s leading part suppliers to the Railway industry, who are looking for a Procurement Support professional to join the team. Currently the Operational Procurement team are focused on achieving a “Proactive not Reactive” workflow. The key is to ensure they supply products that their customers want in a timely manner, the division is becoming increasingly busy, and they need to grow the team to ensure they can continue to provide suppliers with the optimal level of service.
Opportunity
Due to a recent promotion, the Operational Procurement team are looking for a Procurement Support professional to maintain exceptional supplier relationships and ensure all pricing and invoicing queries are dealt with quickly and effectively. The client’s suppliers are split across 3 key areas; Infrastructure, Rolling Stock and Consumables/Fasteners, you will have the opportunity to partner with suppliers from each area, gaining expert product knowledge and broad industry awareness. The Operational Procurement team are a dynamic team that share their successes and collectively have a relentless work ethic. The client likes to promote within, and this role offers a strong foundation for professionals looking to launch their career in a procurement, operations or a logistics environment.
Skills and attributes
- Experience in an office environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft packages in a professional environment
- Procurement experience – Highly Desirable
