Ford & Stanley – The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting a Junior Mechanical Engineer, to join an ever expanding and growing, leading Rail and Rolling Stock Engineering company.

The Opportunity

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to expand and grow on your mechanical engineering knowledge. Whilst contributing fresh ideas and using your own expertise to advise and help overcome issues for clients on both an internal and external level. You will build and maintain excellent working relationships within the Rolling Stock industry and be offered to the chance to work towards your Chartered Engineer status, within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Rolling stock engineering design products through the use of CAD.
• Provide Engineering expertise as instructed by peers and Senior Engineers, internally and externally.
• Liaise with colleagues and contractors on project issues and ideas and assist in the management of projects. Including budget control, timeline proposals and people utilisation.

A Junior Mechanical Engineer with the drive an ambition to achieve Chartered Engineer status and bring new fresh ideas into a longstanding and respected Rail and Rolling Stock company. Whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, partners, and client within the industry. Providing an excellent opportunity to achieve invaluable knowledge and experience in a heavy mechanical environment.

Essentials

• (MEng) – Masters in Engineering. (BEng would be considered with relative experience)
• Experience of using CAD modelling software (2D & 3D)
• Computer Literacy and strong reporting and presentation skills.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a Mechanical Engineering background.
