Facilities Coordinator

Ford & Stanley – The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting a Facilities Coordinator for a leading train maintenance depot that has rich history and has continuously been adapting to the challenges of the modern times.

The Opportunity

The Facilities Coordinator will have the opportunity to work alongside the Facilities Manager, being responsible for day to day maintenance, development and improvement of the site. Playing a vital role in overseeing day to day Health and Safety of the site and all its workers. This is an exciting role for someone looking to excel their career in a dynamic environment and you will look to develop key, long term relationships with some of the biggest names in the Rolling Stock industry.

Location:

Milton Keynes area.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Dealing with external contractors and suppliers to fulfil maintenance schedules and ensure the site remains Health and safety compliant.
• Streamlining and implementing cost-cutting initiatives. Keeping site productivity high and keeping operating costs down. Liasing with shop-floor staff and management teams to highlight areas of improvement.
• Raising Purchase Orders, uploading legal compliance and use of internal systems incl. SAP and Microsoft Packages (Word & Excel).

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a pragmatic problem solver, with strong interpersonal skills and a real drive for continuous process improvement. They will also be comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels.

Essentials

• Previous Facilities Coordinator experience.
• Experience of Health and safety procedures and legislation
• Ability to communicate with key stakeholders at all levels in the business.
• IT Literate and efficient with Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel etc.)

Desirable

• IWFM Qualification
• IOSH Qualification
• Previous experience working in a Mechanical/Electrical background
