Ford & Stanley Recruitment are working with a leading Freight Operating Company who are at the forefront in delivery of a large-scale digital transformation project across the rail network. With 21% revenue growth in 2022, they are looking to use that momentum and have exciting plans to double its size in the next 2 years. If you are looking to work for a company that has a strong structure and culture, transparency and clear communication from the senior leadership team then this position could be one for you.

The successful candidate will work specifically within the project team and play a vital part in the delivery of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) transformation activity, proactively preparing the business for the changes to fleet due to the installation of ETCS. The ERTMS Technical Assistant will support the ERTMS Project Engineers and the wider ERTMS team to ensure that GBRf are fully prepared and risk free.


Remote- Central band as UK travel will be required- Flexibility is key.

Driving License is essential.

The Candidate

  • Knowledge of Diesel and Electric locomotive systems and maintenance.
  • Documentation control/ understanding designs/ assisting in the review of ETCS documentation.
  • Stakeholder Management- Liaise with Internal Engineering and Production departments to assist with the review of ETCS technical documentation
  • NVQ L3 minimum.
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
