Ford & Stanley – The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting a Driver Standards Manager for a growing rail freight business.
The Opportunity
Ford & Stanley Recruitment are working with a Freight Operating Company who are transitioning from a small to medium size business on their search for a Driver Standards Manager. This role will take responsibility for ensuring the business is compliant with all standards and regulations by managing, reviewing and implementing new processes.
This role will play a pivotal part in the business being awarded a train driver school licence by the Governments Office of Rail & Road. You will proactively advise the business on current competency standings while driving new programmes to ensure the business is abiding to the latest rules and regulations.
Location (s):
Derby HQ– hybrid/ Flexibility is offered. Must be open to frequent travel as this is an essential for the role. Other key locations- Bristol, London, Manchester.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Operate trains in accordance with relevant railway rules and regulations
- Complete relevant Locomotive safety checks
- To ensure all training & assessment packages are being carried out to the required standard.
Essentials Skills & Experience
- Previous passenger/ freight train driver experience
- Up to date working knowledge of driver standards
- Trainer/Assessor qualification
