Assistant Manager

£35,000 to £40,000 – depending on experience

As the Assistant Manager, you’ll be the backbone of our day-to-day operations, guaranteeing seamless production and top-notch quality output. Your role extends to assisting in stock management and crafting production plans that not only meet but exceed our business targets.
Additionally, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing standards for production, maintaining quality, and ensuring a safe working environment for all.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and support to the team.
- Manage records of overtime, holiday, and sickness.
- Conduct return-to-work interviews and assist with disciplinary actions.
- Ensure production schedules meet customer demands and business needs.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure cost-effective production.
- Ensure adherence to company procedures and report on performance.
- Handle customer inquiries/complaints and prepare sales metric reports.
- Maintain competence in company systems and undertake Quality Assurance activities.
Skills & Experience:
- Engineering/Quality/Process Engineering background essential
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Knowledge of QHSE Legislation.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask.
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude towards work and company objectives.
- Knowledge of HR policies and interview experience.
The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm, with an hour for lunch.
